OVERLAND PARK, KS -- (Marketwire) -- 10/29/09 -- Archer Technologies, a provider of enterprise governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, today wrapped up the first stage of its 2009 GRC Roadshow with an event in New York that brought together more than 200 risk and compliance professionals from 75 companies to discuss best practices for "operationalizing" GRC initiatives, planning a GRC strategy roadmap, and converging IT and business processes. Total participation for the five completed Archer Roadshow events tops 450 attendees, and registration for the entire series currently exceeds 800.
Continuing the momentum of the early GRC Roadshow stops, Archer today announced seven additional dates:

"We are proud to be working closely with Archer next week at the GRC Roadshow event here in Boston," said D.J. Long, senior director of corporate development at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. "RSA recommends that all organizations, such as the esteemed companies attending the Roadshow next week, take a broad view of risks and align processes across both security and IT operations. This view provides the visibility and control to detect and mitigate information security threats before they impact a business -- monitoring not just the perimeter but where the data moves and resides, whether in the infrastructure or not."
New Archer GRC Roadshow dates extend the previously announced schedule in the following cities:
-- Kansas City - Sept. 10 - Hosted by UMB Financial
-- Minneapolis - Sept. 17 - Hosted by MSI Systems Integrators
-- San Francisco - Oct. 2 - Hosted by McKesson
-- Washington, D.C. - Oct. 8 - Hosted by Nova Datacom
-- New York - Oct. 29 - Hosted by Time Warner
-- Chicago - Nov. 2 - Hosted by KPMG
-- Houston - Nov. 12 - Hosted by Ernst & Young
"The record participation we've seen at this year's Archer Roadshow speaks to the growing demand for an enterprise GRC architecture that enables collaboration and process automation across IT, Finance, Legal and Operational domains," said Peter Novosel, vice president of products for Archer.
