Bank's Cash for Building
Friday, October 30, 2009 3:52 AM

(Source: Irish Times)trackingMadam, - Walking into Limerick city, I noted that the Bank of Ireland has: 1. Closed its facility at Caherdavin and moved it to a much larger and modern site about 500 yards away in an expensive business park, and 2. It has also completely rebuilt and expanded a premises in the city centre. May I ask who is paying for this? It cannot be the bank itself, can it? Surely not Nama, nor the Financial Regulator, or the Minister for Finance? If it is coming from the taxpayers (of whom I am one), I am appalled. If there is money lying about I want it spent on hospitals, education, and other needy causes. - Yours, etc,

GEORGE BRASSIL,

Aherlow Close,

Caherdavin, Limerick.
