CAIRO, Oct. 31, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- The following are some of the major Middle East news stories due to be covered or pursued by Xinhua News Agency on Saturday.

-- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton meets Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the United Arab Emirates before travelling to Israel to hold talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Expect coverage.

-- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak addresses the annual conference of the ruling National Democratic Party.

-- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu meets Iraqi Kurdish leaders in an effort to end years of conflict with Kurdish rebels based in northern Iraq.

-- Monitoring development after Iran delivered a response to a UN nuclear fuel plan on Thursday, and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tehran is ready to cooperate with world powers on issues regarding nuclear fuel.
