Oct. 31, 2009 (United Press International) -- Following a course record 62, John Cook tacked on a 5-under-par 67 Saturday for a six-shot lead after three rounds of the Charles Schwab (NASDAQ:SCHW) Cup Championship.
Cook broke another record with his 54-hole, 19-under 197 at the Sonoma Golf Club in the season's final event. It was the lowest 54-hole score in a 72-hole tournament in Champions Tour history.
Russ Cochran shot a 4-under 68 and was alone in second place at 13-under.
Brad Bryant posted a 1-under 69 to finish three rounds at 12-under 204, matched by Tom Watson, who carded a 1-under 71.
First-round co-leaders Jeff Sluman (70) and Phil Blackmar (72) were joined in a tie for fifth by Larry Mize (68) at minus-11.
