BEIJING, Nov. 2, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- China's leading internet service company NetEase. (NASDAQ:NTES) com, Inc. (NTES.NASDAQ) launched on Monday its game channel, game.163.com, to extend its business.

The new channel will initially provide news on games, including product news, player oriented news, and industry information. Meanwhile, the company has established a team to collect and report the select content.

An industry analyst noted that besides the new channel's launching generating more profits, it will also ideally lead to NetEase gaining more game industry voice.

The game-related website is booming in China with the rapid growth of online games. The leading game-information providers include Sina, Sohu (NASDAQ:SOHU) , 17173.com, and Tencent Inc.
