LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 11/02/09 -- The UK's leading home furniture and furnishings website, mydeco.com, has announced plans to launch a US website targeting the American home and home furnishings online market worth an estimated $121 billion. Us.mydeco.com, which is already live and expanding rapidly, currently collects together over 300 retailers and will hit 500 by the end of October 2009. The site will aggregate products from well-known US furniture and home wares giants including Kohls, Sears, Kmart, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel and Bed, Bath and Beyond as well as smaller niche retailers, displaying a massive collection of living room furniture, bedroom furniture, dining room furniture and home accessories. Products are searchable by essential criteria like price, color and dimension.

With the rapid expansion of the US home sector over the last three years, the US mydeco hopes to replicate the success of the UK site, offering the same comprehensive home wares search, stylish, curated shopping experience and a buzzing home design community. The site also hopes to be able to fill the gap left by the close of Domino magazine - the much loved US Conde Nast home design magazine that folded in February 09 - by offering a way to find stylish furniture and home accessories from an unparalleled range of retailers, along with expert home design advice. While the first release of the website focuses on providing a shopping experience only, the home design advice, inspiration and advice section will be added over coming months.

mydeco.com in the UK, which aims to be better than Google for home furniture and decor search, offers an unrivalled shopping experience by collecting together home furniture and home accessories from over 1,500 home wares retailers. Well known high street shops like Heals, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and Graham & Green are joined by an eclectic collection of over 200 independent designers to offer the widest possible home wares search, all in one place. Shoppers can search over three million products across retailer by price, color, dimension and style, saving time and money in their pursuit of creating the home of their dreams. The US site will eventually be much bigger than its UK cousin, with over 15 million products.

David Kelly, CEO of mydeco.com said, "It's a challenging move, but we're confident we can create a site that offers all the style, excitement and functionality of the UK site, but on a much larger scale.
