The Salt Lake Tribune said Monday that Ashley Skiby is suing Sprint-Nextel (NYSE:S) , dealer Connected Wireless and the manager of a Gateway Mall cell phone store for the alleged theft of her private information from her cell phone.

Attorney George W. Burbidge II, who is representing Skiby, said his client was told by Mathew Kuyath, manager of the Connected Wireless Sprint store in Gateway Mall, that all information from her old cell phone would be automatically deleted by Sprint.

Skiby alleges she was later informed by Kuyath that some of her sensitive photographs were on his cell phone. Kuyath denies having the pictures.

The Tribune said the 3rd District Court complaint accuses Kuyath of fraud and inflicting emotional distress, along with invading and wrongfully appropriating Skiby's property.

The suit, which is seeking unspecified damages, accuses Sprint and Connected Wireless of negligence in regards to the hiring and training of Kuyath, who is a convicted sex offender.
