Wonderware Open 2009 Winners Awarded for Innovative Mobile, MES, EMI, HMI / SCADA and Industry Solutions

PLANO, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 11/02/09 -- Invensys Operations Management, a global provider of technology systems, software solutions and consulting services to the process and manufacturing industries, today announced the North American winners of its annual Wonderware Open competition. Winners were recognized for their innovative use of Wonderware® software to generate significant business results in several categories. Presentations of these outstanding applications are part of the conference general sessions and winners are being awarded at a special ceremony during the company's OpsManage'09 conference, hosted this week in Anaheim, Calif.
The 2009 Wonderware Open winner for "Best Industry Solution" is Pepsi Bottling Ventures. The "Best Manufacturing Execution System Application" was awarded to Johnson & Johnson. Campbell Soup was recognized for "Best Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence Application." The "Best Mobile Solution" was given to OxyChem Taft and the China Ministry of Railway was awarded "Best HMI / SCADA."
Winners were selected based on the impact the solution has on product quality, productivity, ROI, energy savings, customer responsiveness and faster time to market. Entries were judged by industry experts, trade magazine editors, industry analysts and the Invensys Operations Management executive team.

Pepsi Bottling Ventures was selected as "Best Industry Solution" based on improvements in its reporting and trending capabilities through the use of Wonderware technology, which enabled management teams to review performance data in consistent, reliable and easily shared formats. Pepsi identified the cause of downtime in the changeover process and was able to reduce it by 50 percent.
