This new UC endpoint is ideally suited for large organizations with existing H.323 video deployments that are planning for a future where video and telephony communication will migrate into one UC platform. Polycom's family of VVX 1500 business media phones are the only devices to combine a personal video conferencing system with a fully featured voice over IP (VoIP) telephone with Polycom HD Voice(TM) and an open application programming interface (API) and Web browser for real-time delivery of personalized Web content as well as integration with key business applications.

The VVX 1500 D is an affordable, easy-to-use personal video conferencing system that seamlessly integrates with existing H.323 video networks enabling managers and knowledge workers to make instant, one-touch point to point and multipoint video calls to all other video systems. In addition to H.323, the VVX 1500 D simultaneously supports the SIP signaling protocol. This enables integration with Polycom certified SIP-based UC platforms that provide advanced IP telephony capabilities.
