RockTenn Chairman and CEO Jim Rubright Named First Ever Global CEO of the Year in Pulp and Paper International Awards Ceremony

Nov. 2, 2009 (Business Wire) -- RockTenn Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Rubright was named the first ever Global CEO of the Year at the 2009 Pulp & Paper International (PPI) Awards held October 28, 2009 in Munich, Germany. The PPI Awards honor the leadership, vision, innovation and strategic accomplishments of companies, mills and individuals within the global pulp and paper industry. The Global CEO of the Year honor was awarded by a panel of judges made up of industry veterans.

Rubright was presented with a trophy at the PPI Awards ceremony at the Hilton Munich Park Hotel in Munich.

Rubright was named 2009 Executive Papermaker of the Year by PaperAge, a leading industry publication for paper industry professionals, and 2008 North American CEO of the Year by RISI. He served in 2007 as Chairman of the Board of the American Forest & Paper Association, the national trade association of the forest, pulp, paper, paperboard and wood products industry. He is a director of AGL Resources, Inc., an energy company, and Forestar Group Inc., a real estate and natural resources company. He has been CEO of RockTenn since 1999, as the company has grown to $2.8 billion in sales. During his tenure, RockTenn has generated a total return to shareholders of 287% through October 29, 2009.
