Nov. 3--VOTING HOURS: Polling places open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. at all 89 precincts in Centre County.
WHAT'S AT STAKE: Voters going to the polls will choose between incumbent Republican Michael Madeira and challenger Democrat Stacy Parks Miller for district attorney, the county's chief law enforcement officer.
STATE RACES: On the ballot as well is a choice between two candidates for a state Supreme Court seat. Also, four Democrats, four Republicans and one Libertarian candidate are competing for four state Superior Court seats, and two Democrats and two Republicans are competing for two state Commonwealth Court seats.
LOCAL RACES: Voters will elect township supervisors, borough council members, mayors, school board directors, minor municipal officials and precinct election officials.

TODAY'S WEATHER:E xpect a cloudy morning and a sunny, breezy afternoon, said Tom Kines, AccuWeather senior meteorologist. No rain is expected all day. Temperatures will start at about 40 degrees this morning and warm up to 50 this afternoon.
"The weather shouldn't keep people away," Kines said.
