NewsProNet, a leading provider of premium video news content for
television stations nationwide, and WorldNow, the leading online
technology, content and revenue-solutions company for local media,
today announced an agreement granting WorldNow online distribution
rights to NewsProNet's HealthDay TV online video news reports.
Covering the latest discoveries, breakthroughs, treatments and trends
in medicine and healthcare, the HealthDay TV video reports are
co-produced with HealthDay news service, one of the leading health
news organizations in the United States. Launched in August and
hosted by Dr. Cindy Haines, a board-certified family physician and
Chief Medical Officer of the HealthDay news service, the daily
90-second video programs will now become available as part of
WorldNow's innovative Web publishing platform.
"WorldNow is an established leader in providing advanced Internet
technology, content and advertising solutions to TV stations,
newspapers and other media properties seeking to build strong and
profitable digital franchises," said Kent J. Krizik, President,
NewsProNet. "Our HealthDay TV content is aimed squarely at the target
demographic of their network, which represents tens of millions of
unique daily visits."
"NewsProNet's premium health video news service is an important
addition to our growing video content offering," said Ross Cohen, VP
Business Development, WorldNow. "This offering will enhance our
strategy of generating new revenue streams for our clients' sites by
delivering compelling content that supports national and local
advertising opportunities."
The HealthDay TV reports are the first in a series of NewsProNet
initiatives to distribute high-quality online video news content
co-produced with some of the most-recognized names in business and
consumer news. Distributed via WorldNow's innovative Web publishing
platform, which uses advanced content management and video publishing
technology and provides strategic advertising services, the HealthDay
TV video reports will reach more than 150 WorldNow affiliate local
media partners across the U.S.
In addition to HealthDay TV, NewsProNet also has forged a production
partnership with TheStreet.com's personal consumer finance news site,
MainStreet.com to produce and distribute "The Main Street Money
Minute" Web video news reports, and has other key vertical content
offerings slated for release in early 2010.
