Canadian oil and gas company Talisman Energy has reported a net income of C$30 million, or C$0.03 per dilute share, for the third quarter of 2009, compared to C$1.42 billion, or C$1.38 per diluted share, for the same period of 2008.
The company has reported total revenue of C$1.54 billion for the third quarter of 2009, compared to C$2.66 billion for the same quarter of 2008.
Talisman Energy has reported a net income of C$548 million, or C$0.54 per dilute share, for the first nine months of 2009, compared to C$2.32 billion, or C$2.23 per diluted share, for the corresponding period of 2008.
Year-to-date total revenue was C$4.68 billion, compared to C$7.62 billion for the first nine months of 2008.
John Manzoni, president and CEO of Talisman Energy, said: "The company made significant advances in strategy implementation during the quarter. We have added substantial amounts of high quality unconventional acreage in North America. In Southeast Asia, we have taken our first steps towards building a material onshore natural gas position in Papua New Guinea."
