Gross operating income for the third quarter of 2009 increased to E2.07 billion from E1.41 billion for the third quarter of 2008. For the third quarter of 2009, operating income was E559 million, compared to E724 million for the corresponding quarter of 2008.

For the first nine months ended September 30, 2009, net income was E457 million, a decline of 76.2%, compared to E1.92 billion for the first nine months ended September 30, 2008.

Gross operating income for the first nine months of 2009 was flat at E4.82 billion when compared with the year-ago period. Operating income for the first nine-month period of 2009 was E875 million, compared to E3.14 billion for the first nine months of 2008, a decrease of 72.1%.
