Conseco, an insurance holding company, has reported a net income of $15.4 million, $0.08 per share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009, compared to a net loss of $183.3 million, or $0.99 per share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2008.
Total revenues for the third quarter of 2009 were $1.12 billion, compared to $1.02 billion for the third quarter of 2008.
For the first nine months ended September 30, 2009, net income was $67.5 million, or $0.36 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $679 million, or $3.68 per diluted share, for the first nine months ended September 30, 2008.
For the first nine months of 2009, total revenues were $3.28 billion versus $3.14 billion for the year-ago period.
