"We are especially thankful to those partners who supported us with their products and expertise to significantly expand the number of demos for this year's event."

Demonstrations being presented at Interconnect 2009 include the following:

Enterprise and contact center demonstrations

Enterprise SIP trunking with Avaya Aura

Acme Packet and Avaya combine to show SIP trunking applications between enterprises and service providers as well as between enterprise locations. Acme Packet's Net-Net SBC ensures security and maximum service reach while assuring SLAs and regulatory compliance in the delivery of unified communications from Avaya's Aura System platform.

Managed enterprise SBC services

Acme Packet will demonstrate the fault, configuration, accounting, performance and security (FCAPS) and related management capabilities of Net-Net OS delivered in the context of a managed enterprise SBC service. Acme Packet's managed enterprise SBC solution extends the SIP trunking service demarcation point all the way to the enterprise premise as part of a SIP trunking service.

Secure teleworker access to SIP voice and unified communications

The Acme Packet Net-Net SBC integrated with Avaya Aura will enable Avaya SIP endpoints using SIP/TLS and SRTP to establish, maintain and terminate sessions securely via the Internet to enterprise telephony and UC infrastructure. Acme Packet SBCs control the Internet border point for enterprises or contact centers, delivering all necessary security, service reach and SLA assurance functions to cost-effectively implement secure, high-quality IP-based telephony and UC solutions for remote employees.

Hosted enterprise E9-1-1 emergency services

The demonstration depicts an emergency call, routed through the Net-Net SBC and delivered to Red Sky's E9-1-1 network services solution deployed at a simulated public service access point (PSAP). The SBC adds denial of service/distributed denial of service (DoS/DDoS) protection and layer-5 topology hiding at the hosted services border, as well as backup for standard E9-1-1 routing by providing an alternate route to the PSAP when the primary route becomes unavailable.

Interactive SIP trunking return-on-investment (ROI) kiosk

Acme Packet has designed a Return on Investment (ROI) tool that illustrates the cost savings potential of moving to SIP trunking.
