BEIJING, Nov. 6, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- Actions Semiconductor (NASDAQ:ACTS) (ACTS.NASDAQ), a leading fabless semiconductor company in China, has appointed Niccolo Chen as the new CEO, following Nan-Horng Yeh's departure.
Chen joined the company in 2007, and worked as the chief strategy officer and general manager before becoming CEO. During his time with the company, he helped upgrade and innovate the system on chip products (SoCs), a typical application in the area of embedded systems.
Yeh, who served the company as the CEO since 2005, remains on the board. He has stepped down CEO post to pursue personal interests, according to the company.
Meanwhile, the board appointed Robin Pan as an independent director, replacing Paul Hsiao, who resigned earlier.
