British market recalls mothy figs
Friday, November 06, 2009 6:43 PM

Some customers allegedly found larvae belonging to fig moths in packs with the barcode 05050854916182, Sky News reported.

In a statement, Asda said: "Clearly this isn't right. We're sorry this has happened and are busy getting to the bottom of it with our supplier to make sure it will never happen again."

Customers can get a refund by bringing their tainted fruit to any Asda store, Sky News said.

Asda, a subsidiary of Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) , is second in size only to Tesco.
