Nov. 7--The Cherokee County Commissioners' Court will consider approval of a resolution for Cherokee County's Tactical Response Program grant for the Sheriff's Department. This will come as part of the court's Monday morning meeting at 10 a.m. in the County Courthouse in Rusk.

This resolution was looked at in October, but a typo or incorrect name was found and the issue tabled. The court hopes to correct this.

In addition to the resolution consideration, the court will consider laying utility lines in each precinct. This routine item focuses on possible road bores and other such utility matters as the precincts need them.

Bids for up to four new police package vehicles for the Sheriff's Department will be discussed. These bids for official police vehicles were opened on Oct. 29.

There will be a request from Kevin Pierce for a buy back of approximately four months of retirement time. According to County Judge Chris Davis, Pierce will look to buy back time he spent on a leave of absence.

Linda Little, tax assessor, has made requests to refund overpayment of taxes. These three to five requests will be considered.

The court will also go into executive session to discuss pending or threatened litigation and employee matters. No additional information was given on this item when requested.

In addition, a few other items will be on Monday's agenda:

--Consider approval of the Sheriff's Department monthly report.

--Consider approval of the consent agenda, including approval of county auditor monthly report for September, approval of court minutes, approval of Constable Precinct Two monthly report, approval of Constable Precinct Four monthly report and consideration for authorizing payment of bills.

There will be a special session 9 a.m. Thursday to canvass the General Election Ballots of Nov. 3.
