BEIJING, Nov. 9, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- China's top 10 passenger vehicle manufacturers together sold 556,400 passenger vehicles in October, taking up 59 percent of the country's total, according to the latest statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
The 10 passenger vehicle producers are SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, Shanghai GM, FAW Volkswagen, Shanghai Volkswagen, Dongfeng Nissan, Chongqing ChangAn Automobile, Beijing Hyundai, BYD Auto, Chery Auto and FAW Toyota.
CAAM statistics show that China's passenger vehicle output soared 86.64 percent year on year to 970,300 units in October, while sales surged 75.77 percent to 946,400 units.
