Dollar rises to lower 90 yen zone in Tokyo

TOKYO, Nov. 9, 2009 (Xinhua News Agency) -- The U.S. dollar rose above the 90 yen line Monday in Tokyo on disappointing U.S. jobs data for October.

At 5 p.m., the dollar fetched 90.11-12 yen versus Friday's 5 p. m. quotes of 89.83-93 yen in New York and 90.45-46 yen in Tokyo. It moved between 89.70 yen and 90.26 yen, trading most frequently at 90.12 yen.

The euro traded at 1.4975-4977 dollars and 134.94-98 yen against late Friday's quotes of 1.4843-4853 dollars and 133.37-47 yen in New York and 1.4876-4878 dollars and 134.56-60 yen in Tokyo.
