IneoQuest Technologies, Inc., the global provider of advanced
quality and service assurance solutions for digital video, today
announced that it has expanded its product line for optimizing
Microsoft(R) Mediaroom(TM) operations. iDMS(TM) Telco now leverages
the data collected on IQDialogue(TM) IPTV Mediaroom(TM) Installer to
give operations managers a consolidated collection of historical
deployment data. Using IneoQuest's technology, providers can
implement uniform procedures to ensure high quality installation,
maximize overall support for technicians and efficiently engineer
their network for improved performance.
Telecommunications providers are currently using IneoQuest's
IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Installer to test the performance of
Microsoft Mediaroom residential deployments and assure that the setup
and configuration of television, video-on-demand (VOD) and multi-room
DVR services operate properly. Now, iDMS Telco allows for a
centralized collection of all data and measurements gathered in the
field, including deployment location and time, pass/fail results,
fault identification, channel change timing and packet loss, with
specific identifiers for each IQDialogue IPTV Mediaroom Installer
probe.
Using the data, iDMS Telco enables telecommunications providers to
hone operations management for improved deployment service, expense
reduction and staff support. With iDMS Telco, providers can review
deployments for adoption of uniform processes and cross-reference job
details in case of follow up and additional service. At the same
time, providers can survey the type of jobs or regions where
deployments took the most time, enabling them to identify network
challenges or provide training to streamline deployments.
In addition to operations management, iDMS Telco provides a snapshot
of performance over time, giving providers trending analysis in order
to resolve issues proactively and plan for future upgrades. For
example, iDMS Telco details top deployment failures and issues,
number of hours per deployment and individual identification of test
probes.
