Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education to Respond to Mayor's Student Tax Proposal

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Mary Hines, chair of the Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education (PCHE), will meet with reporters at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, to respond to Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's proposed tax on the city's college and university students.

Dr. Hines, also president of Carlow University, will represent all the PCHE members including Chatham University, Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Carnegie Mellon University, Robert Morris University, Duquesne University, Point Park University, LaRoche College, Community College of Allegheny County, University of Pittsburgh and Carlow University. Many of the university presidents will also be in attendance.

The news conference will be held in the AE Hunt Room on the 23rd floor of the Regional Enterprise Tower (the old Alcoa Building).
