New Hires Add Manufacturing Expertise to World-Class Solar Team

SARASOTA, Fla., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sunovia Energy Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SUNV) and EPIR Technologies, Inc. ("EPIR" and together with Sunovia, "The Partners") are pleased to announce the hiring of cadmium telluride (CdTe) solar cell experts, Dr. Angelo Gilmore and Dr. Chollada Gilmore. Both are accomplished scientists in the field of thin-film CdTe solar cells and come to EPIR from First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR).

EPIR is in the process of expanding its manufacturing facilities, and expects to complete pilot manufacturing of the Partners' high-efficiency, low-cost CdTe on silicon solar cells in 2010. This is the second time this year that EPIR will be expanding its facilities.

According to Dr. Timothy Coutts, former NREL Fellow and founder of the Device Development Group at NREL, "EPIR Technologies is attracting some of the best and brightest in the field of photovoltaics. The addition of Drs. Angelo and Chollada Gilmore complement the already outstanding group of scientists and technologists at EPIR, and provide valuable experience as the solar technology moves from the laboratory to manufacturing."
