("EPIR" and together with Sunovia, "The Partners") are pleased to announce the hiring of cadmium telluride (CdTe) solar cell experts, Dr. Angelo Gilmore and Dr. Chollada Gilmore. Both are accomplished scientists in the field of thin-film CdTe solar cells and come to EPIR from First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR).
EPIR is in the process of expanding its manufacturing facilities, and expects to complete pilot manufacturing of the Partners' high-efficiency, low-cost CdTe on silicon solar cells in 2010. This is the second time this year that EPIR will be expanding its facilities.
