Nov. 18--The 2009 Spirit of Generations Awards Luncheon on Monday will honor Dallas philanthropists Sally and Forrest Hoglund for the vast contributions they've made to Dallas.
The luncheon benefits the Senior Source.
"We are very pleased with the strong response we've had for the opportunity to pay tribute to this inspiring couple," said luncheon chairman Anne Motsenbocker, JPMorgan Chase regional president.
To name just two of their commitments, Sally Hoglund has a longtime involvement with AWARE, and Forrest is chairman of the $185 million campaign to build the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.
The Senior Source serves more than 30,000 of Dallas' older adults each year.
"Our services are more in demand than ever before, and the support we receive from the community is more important than ever before," said Becky Bright, who chairs the nonprofit group's board.
Lawrence A. Wilson, managing director of the Beck Group, was corporate underwriting chairman for the luncheon, and Barbara Sypult was the individual underwriting chairman.
"The outstanding response from individuals in our community is a testament to how much the Hoglunds are admired," Sypult said.
