KABUL -- Death toll from a suicide bombing in west Afghanistan's Farah province Friday morning rose to 13 with 47 others wounded, said provincial governor Rohul Amin.
He said the wounded are being retreated in a hospital of the NATO provincial reconstruction team, with 15 in critical condition. The attack targeted at a police checkpoint near his office, he added.
The blast occurred at 9 a.m. Friday morning, when the suicide bomber rode a motor cycle and blew himself up in a bazaar near the governor's office. (Afghanistan-Bombing)

ISLAMABAD -- A suspected U.S. drone strike killed eight people in northwestern Pakistan's tribal area, local officials said Friday.

SEOUL -- Six South Korean tourists were wounded Friday in a shooting accident took place in Saipan, a Pacific resort island, local media reported.

BOGOTA -- The governments of Colombia and Ecuador reinstalled here on Thursday a defunct frontier committee to resume contact on border security one and a half years after both sides cut off ties.
