IT services vendor Pomeroy IT Solutions has won a three-year contract renewal from Fifth Third Bank to provide IT service desk, technology deployment and desktop support services.
The company said the contract, which began in October, can be extended for an additional two years if required. The Ohio-based bank initially outsourced certain IT support functions to Pomeroy in 2004.
Under the contract, the company will continue providing substantially similar IT support services to the bank's employees in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.
PJ Thelen, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at Pomeroy, said: "We are pleased with the benefits that Fifth Third Bank has received from Pomeroy's integrated service desk and desktop support solution over the last five years. The renewal of this IT services contract accentuates Fifth Third Bank's confidence in our ability to be a long-term strategic partner."
In August, Pomeroy won a five-year $18m contract from Pennsylvania-based energy company PPL to provide help desk and desk side support services.
