Tim Brown, a former executive at Yahoo, has joined ad network
Tribal Fusion as European general manager.
Brown, who left his role as VP of ad products and platforms for
Europe at Yahoo in August (nma 27 August), will be responsible for
Tribal Fusion's UK business operations, leading the company's
expansion into Europe and product development.
He said Tribal Fusion is looking to expand its team of five to 20
in 2010 and to 50 by 2011. The plans follow aggressive international
expansion.
"The strategy has been to expand the company globally over the
last six months," said Brown. "As well as my appointment and plans
to grow the UK and Europe, we've just made a number of hires in
Australia, India and Singapore."
Brown joined global online ad network BlueLithium in October
2005. It was sold two years later to Yahoo for $300m (pound 149m).
Before BlueLithium, he served as MD of ad network 24/7 Real Media.
Tribal Fusion joined IASH, the ad network trade body, in
February.
