(Source: Datamonitor)trackingVPhase, a provider of energy saving products for residential and small commercial properties, has announced that the European Patent Office has granted a European voltage control patent to the group.

The patent will be identified as European patent number. In addition, the group has been informed that patents have been granted in New Zealand and US. Once the patent is translated in all 30 countries designated in the European application it will have been granted in 34 countries in total including Russia and South Africa, the company said.

The success of this filing further validates the way that the VPhase voltage optimisation units operate in providing reduced electricity bills for consumers by controlling the incoming voltage for selected circuits to a target set point of 220V, the company added.

Lee Juby, CEO of VPhase, said: "This patent recognizes the unique and effective way VPhase operates to optimize voltage in the home and save money. We hope this approval will help drive the business forward within the wider European domain, and help homes across Europe to reduce their emissions and energy bills."
