Sep. 22, 2010 (Business Wire) -- Sierra Atlantic, an information technology services provider recognized for outsourcing Oracle® and product engineering solutions, today announced that the company has signed a co-development agreement with Oracle for Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration software product development. Distributed Order Orchestration will be among the early Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle is previewing at Oracle OpenWorld 2010.

‘The Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration software provides a major step forward in improving efficiencies for large organizations with complex supply chains," said GK Murthy, executive vice president, Sierra Atlantic. "We are pleased to be working on a product that addresses such a critical issue that is so prevalent in the industry. As Oracle development partners since 2004, we are committed to helping customers improve their manufacturing and distribution functions."

Many large corporations have multiple dispersed order capture and fulfillment systems due to mergers and acquisitions and logistical considerations. Oracle Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration software will help these corporations efficiently manage their supply chains with an innovative approach. The application will enable centralized, declarative definition, execution and monitoring of order orchestration processes across heterogeneous capture and fulfillment systems.

"We wanted to co-develop certain aspects of the Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration with Sierra Atlantic because of their deep expertise in supporting complex distributed environments," said Doug Souza, group vice president, SCM Fusion Development, Oracle. "Our product will help customers attain ROI with improved order accuracy, lower cycle time, and increased efficiencies in creating, tracking and expediting the order cycle."

Unlike traditional workaround solutions available in the market, Oracle's Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration product addresses the following customer requirements:

  • Handles majority of the customer orders placed through multiple channels
  • Brings efficiencies with existing multiple order capture applications
  • Enables companies to sell product and services through indirect channels
  • Managed data standardization issues with outsourced fulfillment process

Oracle Fusion Distributed Order Orchestration will be previewed during Oracle OpenWorld 2010.

Sierra Atlantic is Platinum member partner of the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
