tw telecom Wins Multi-Year Contract to Provide Data, Internet and Voice Services to U.S. Army Base

-Following a competitive bid, tw telecom selected to install and manage services at Fort Bliss

EL PASO, Texas, Feb. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- tw telecom (Nasdaq: TWTC), a leading provider of managed voice, Internet and data networking solutions for businesses and government entities throughout the U.S., today announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Army to install and manage data, Internet and voice services at Fort Bliss located in western Texas and southern New Mexico.

tw telecom won the multi-year contract through a competitive bid process that evaluated technical compliance, past performance and proposed costs. Installation of the services will be complete by May 2011.

Fort Bliss currently is undergoing the largest expansion of any military installation since World War II, and by 2014 it will be home to nearly 100,000 soldiers, family members and civilian support staff.
