The Argentine Company Found in Epicor the Leading-Edge Technology Required for the Consolidation of Operations in All Its Business Units
Apr. 5, 2011 (Marketwire) --
BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA and IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/05/11 -- Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000 companies, today announced that Sanyo Color, a Buenos Aires, Argentina-based company with 40 years of tradition as a manufacturer and seller of home and construction paint and textile pigments, has selected the Epicor next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution as the perfect tool for the consolidation of its operations across all business divisions.
Sanyo Color's growth and its executives' focus on improving customer service led to the search for a new business software solution. During the software evaluation and selection process, Sanyo Color studied the offerings of six ERP providers. They quickly found that Epicor was the company with the solution that best fit the specific needs of Sanyo Color: accurate, real-time information that provided superior visibility into data to simplify the decision-making process.
"For the 10 years prior to selecting Epicor's business solution, we had an in-house system which gave us good results. However, in recent months it became increasingly clear to us that our in-house system was outdated, particularly the manufacturing functionality, which was limiting our ability to scale our business. We needed end-to-end traceability in the enterprise," said Maximiliano Del Santo, sales director of the division Sanyo Jafep. "Once we saw the administrative and manufacturing modules during the Epicor ERP demo, it was obvious that Epicor's solution should be deployed throughout our enterprise: textile chemistry, pigment for textiles, plastics and paints; as well as our effluents treatment division, where we work together with a Brazilian company."
Sanyo Color started the Epicor project in February 2011 and expects to finish implementation within the next six to eight months.
"The idea is to make the employees work more efficiently. We want to be prepared and to evolve, and we know the Epicor functionality will support us," said Del Santo. "With Epicor we are confident Sanyo Color will be able to move to the next level."
