LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 19, 2011) - Enderby Entertainment (www.enderbyentertainment.com) has announced that principal photography is to begin in June in San Francisco on its new indy drama titled "Cherry." The film, produced by Liz Destro ("Explicit Ills") and Enderby's Rick Dugdale ("Silver Falls," "Heartbreak Hill"), features author Stephen Elliot ("Adderall Diaries") in his directorial debut and stars: James Franco ("127 Hours," "Pineapple Express"), Heather Graham ("The Hangover"), Dev Patel ("Slumdog Millionaire") and Lili Taylor ("Public Enemies").

Enderby's finance team led by Kim Leadford will serve as executive producer alongside Claire Severance and David Ranes.

"We're excited to be working with a great team of professionals that represent everything Enderby stands for -- a great story and a great ensemble cast that audiences can appreciate. In today's film finance climate, we're seeing more projects like this and it's great to be able to bring them to the screen with a full team philosophy, for the betterment of the film," said Rick Dugdale, who serves as CEO of Enderby Entertainment. "It is a great story from the mind of a wonderful author in Mr. Elliot, and we are thrilled to get behind him on his adventure," he added.

The story centers on a troubled 18-year-old who moves to San Francisco, where she enters the porn industry and becomes involved with a cocaine-addicted lawyer, to be played by Franco. Graham will play a former porn star-turned-director who becomes mildly obsessed with the young starlet, who has yet to be cast. Taylor will play the teen's alcoholic mother, while Patel will play the girl's best friend who's in love with her.
