RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/11 -- DDS Wireless International Inc. (TSX:DD) ("DDS Wireless" or "the Company") announced today that its business unit, DDS eFleet Services, has signed subscription contracts totalling over $600,000. These include three new customers in the limousine industry operating substantial fleets in the US Midwest, Northeast and the South. Additional contracts were signed with existing customers to add subscriptions to accommodate growth in their fleets, as well as the renewal of contracts for extended terms.
eFleet has established itself in several important markets including limousines, shuttle bus services, and work trucks. The eFleet(TM) fleet management and dispatch solution is sold on a subscription basis and features the Company's hosted web applications bundled with its mobile data terminals. As a hosted system, it is complemented by the Company's TaxiBook(TM) solution targeted at small and mid-sized taxi fleets. These rapidly deployed, turn-key solutions are ideally suited to serving the needs of small and mid-sized fleets, a very large market segment which is underserved by fleet management and dispatch solutions.
These recent contract wins are key to the Company's strategy of building its presence in small and mid-size fleet segments and in verticals outside of its core taxi and transit markets. They also serve to build on the Company's already significant base of recurring revenue.
