KINGSEY FALLS, QC, Sept. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - Cascades and its
partners, La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, Jamestown
Container and another industry partner, will proceed on September 7,
2011, to the official groundbreaking for Greenpac Mill LLC (Greenpac),
a new state of the art containerboard mill to be located in Niagara
Falls, NY. The media are invited to this symbolic ceremony that will
take place in the presence of Niagara Falls Mayor, Paul Dyster, ESD
Senior Vice-President for Regional Economic Development, Sam Hoyt, and
Cascades' founders Bernard, Laurent and Alain Lemaire.
Greenpac will be constructed for a total cost of US$430 million and will
manufacture a light weight linerboard, made with 100% recycled fibres,
on a single machine having a width of 328 inches (8.33 meters) with an
annual production capacity of 540,000 short tons.
