New Intelligent Energy Management Program Supports Compliance With Pennsylvania Act 129
NORCROSS, Ga., Sept. 12, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comverge, Inc. (Nasdaq:COMV), the leading provider of Intelligent Energy Management solutions for Residential and Commercial & Industrial customers, today announced it has been selected by Duquesne Light Company, a leader in the transmission and distribution of electric energy in southwestern Pennsylvania, to help optimize residential and small commercial customers' summer peak energy usage. The new Watt Choices Air Conditioner Cycling Team program will leverage Comverge's portfolio of intelligent energy management solutions, including Comverge's IntelliSOURCE software platform, to help customers earn money and protect the environment by assisting Duquesne Light in managing air conditioning peak loads.

By leveraging Comverge's portfolio of Intelligent Energy Management hardware, software and services, Duquesne Light will be able to offer residential and small commercial customers the option to earn money by participating in the new Watt Choices Air Conditioner Cycling Team program. Participants within the program will agree to allow Duquesne Light to remotely cycle on and off their high energy use appliances in 15-minute increments during peak hours in the summer months of 2012.
