This prestigious award recognizes Marvell for demonstrating excellence in all supplier performance areas, delivering outstanding contributions in quality, technology and flexibility in support of Cisco's many initiatives. The distinction was awarded during Cisco's 20th annual Supplier Appreciation Event, held September 15 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

"Cisco is proud to announce Marvell as Supplier of the Year out of our several hundred suppliers. Marvell's leading technology innovation and great service to Cisco deserves this recognition. Marvell's tireless effort to ensure continuity of supply, even after the tragic tsunami disaster in Japan, makes it an award-winning partner," said Prentis Wilson, vice president, Global Supplier Management, Cisco.

"It is such an honor for Marvell to receive this prestigious award from Cisco, the world leader in networking. When we see our customers and partners succeed, we feel great pride and a sense of accomplishment because we focus on their success. This award can be attributed to our core business philosophy of 'win-win,'" said Ms. Weili Dai, Marvell's co-founder. "I would like to thank Cisco and its team for their belief in Marvell; and I would also like to thank the entire Marvell team for the passion, dedication, innovation and commitment."

Cisco presented awards to suppliers in recognition of their contributions to Cisco's success in fiscal year 2011. At the event Cisco celebrated the shared successes of its global value chain with strategic suppliers and manufacturing partners and reaffirmed its commitment to a strong, continued partnership that will further accelerate innovation.
