Arizona
Stronghold Vineyards has been recognized this year with more than
twenty awards for the label's Tazi, Dala, Nachise and Site Archive
wines, yielded from fruit grown in Arizona's high desert.
In November this year, Arizona Stronghold was awarded the great honor of
receiving four Gold Medals of American Excellence in addition to five
Silver Medals of Merit and one additional nomination at the Jefferson
Cup Invitational Wine Competition.
Now in its twelfth year, the esteemed wine competition was founded by
Doug Frost and is the only one of its kind, which honors the best of the
best amongst wineries from all of America's wine regions. Frost is one
of only three individuals in the world to have achieved the titles of
Master Sommelier and Master of Wine.
The Arizona label also took home awards this year from the Arizona
Republic Wine Competition and the Arizona State Fair.
Co-founder of Arizona Stronghold Vineyards with Maynard James Keenan of
the rock band Tool and Director of Winegrowing at Arizona Stronghold and
Page Springs Cellars, Eric
Glomski said, "It's been quite a ride these past four years working
to squeeze every bit of potential we saw from the Arizona landscape into
our wines – so it feels great to be recognized for all of that work.
We're all very proud of everything that we've been able to accomplish to
put Arizona wine on the map.
