Rapid Drug Detox Center Offers Free Oxycontin Detoxes to Raise Awareness

Friday, March 9, 2012 9:11 AM

COSTA RICA, March 9, 2012 /CNW/ - With the death toll rising from Oxycontin prescriptions, and the recent ban of Oxycontin in Ontario, a 72-hour detox center is stepping up to help patients break free.

Iboga House, a licensed all-natural drug detox center in Costa Rica, is officially starting a contest to fly three people out for a 9-day Oxycontin detox. The detox approach involves the use of the root bark Iboga, which clinical trials have shown to be miraculous at detoxing people from opiates with little or no withdrawals in just a couple days instead of the 2-3 weeks typical in withdrawal experiences.

Moughenda Mikala, the founder and shaman who personally guides each patient, comes from the Bwiti tribe in Gabon, where he was trained for 25 years to safely use Iboga to treat ailments ranging from depression, hepatitis, ADHD, and fibromyalgia.

"There has never been any medical complications with our treatment. We have had a 91% success rate from relapse for all patients who have completed the full treatment. This success is because after they detox their cellular receptor sites, they undergo another journey to find the root of their addiction, face themselves, and see their truth. After this, it is very hard to make the same mistakes," Moughenda explains.

There are several centers that treat drug addicts with the extract Ibogaine, one of the twelve known alkaloids of Iboga. A recent clinical study has shown a success rate where 70% of patients did not relapse. However surfacing evidence verifies that there are other significant alkaloids in the whole root of Iboga which provides a more holistic and deeper healing.

Iboga House specializes in detoxing patients from Suboxone and Methadone as well.

"Many times people go on methadone only because they are scared of the withdrawals from Oxycontin, but don't realize it will be much harder to get off of methadone. We would like to spread awareness as to a possibility where you can become completely free of drugs in a peaceful and safe surrounding," says Julia Malone Mikala, director at Iboga House.
