More than 7.3 million trade-in offers for electronic products have been
made to date
TORONTO, March 16, 2012 /CNW/ - Starting today, eBay is making Canadians
a limited-time offer for their used tablets through eBay Instant Sale, an electronics trade-in program that makes it easy for consumers to
get quick cash for their tablets or other electronic devices. Canadians
who lock-in their Instant Sale trade-in offer in the next 10 days will
receive 15 per cent more for their tablets, including up to $439for their iPad 2.
Launched in Canada in January 2012, eBay Instant Sale is an online tool
that makes people a cash offer for their electronic devices in 60
seconds or less. In the U.S., eBay Instant Sale has generated more than
7.3 million trade-in offers for electronics, including 640,000 tablet
offers, since 2010.
"Trading-in electronic devices makes sense, economically and
environmentally," said Kevin Wolfley, Community Relations Manager and
eBay Canada's Green Team Leader. "For example, by giving iPhones,
iPads, and iPods a new life, Instant Sale users save approximately 1550
tons of C02 in a year - enough to offset the emissions generated by
flying around the world 155 times."
Canadians looking to make the most of their tablets and get 15 per cent
more on the trade-in value must secure their guaranteed eBay Instant
Sale trade-in offer anytime between today and March 26 at 11:59 pm ET. Examples of trade-in offers for popular devices include values of up
