The executive leadership of Obscene Interactive, Obscene Jeans Corp.’s
(OTCBB: OBJE) gaming division, traveled to Houston last week to scout
emerging gaming developers at the Rice Business Plan Competition.
Graduate students come from all over the world to compete at the event
hosted by Rice University’s Rice Alliance for Technology and
Entrepreneurship. It’s the world’s richest and largest graduate-level
business plan competition, and the three-day event is renowned for the
quality of ideas and startup companies presented.
More than 133 past competitors have gone on to successfully launch their
businesses and remain in business today, having raised in excess of $397
million in funding. That track record made the event an intriguing
prospect for OBJE. Even as the company is preparing to submit a funding
proposal for its current target HourBlast Games, OBJE continues to
aggressively seek out new gaming targets, with a particular focus on
educational games.
OBJE made several new contacts at the competition, and the company’s
leadership plans to pursue talks with the most promising competitors who
were engaged in the gaming sector.
