Wednesday, April 18, 2012 3:39 PM

Belkin International, creators of people-inspired products and technology solutions, today announced the appointment of Dermot Boden and Gary Morin to its board of directors, effective immediately.

“We are pleased to welcome Dermot and Gary to our board of directors,” said Chet Pipkin, president and CEO of Belkin. “Their wealth of accomplishments and experience in the business world brings tremendous value to our board and I look forward to working with them to grow both our business and our mission of creating people-inspired products.”

A veteran marketing and branding executive, Dermot Boden has played integral leadership roles at five of the world’s best known brands. Currently the Chief Brand Officer at Citigroup Inc., Boden serves as the steward of Citi’s brand and oversees the global brand strategy and sponsorship groups. Prior to Citi, he spent over three years as the chief marketing officer of LG Electronics, redefining the company’s brand identity and propelling LG to one of the world’s top brands. At LG, he also created a world class global marketing organization, transforming the corporate culture to one that acknowledges marketing as element of global leadership. Boden has also held leadership positions in marketing and branding at Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson, both on a regional and global scale.

Gary Morin brings more than 30 years of financial management and leadership experience to the Belkin board. He retired from Lexmark International in 2006 after 10 years in executive roles including executive vice president and chief financial officer. His previous experience includes serving as the executive vice president and chief operating officer at Huffy Corporation, as well as roles at Tambrands Inc., General Foods, and Pillsbury. Morin is a veteran corporate board member and currently serves on the board of both Citrix Systems and the Sealy Corporation. A member of the Citrix board since 2003, he serves as the chairman of the compensation committee and previously served as the chairman of the audit committee. In 2006 he joined the Sealy board of directors and currently serves as the chairman of the nominating and corporate governance committee.

“With a diverse product line that covers a number of rapidly growing consumer electronics market segments and a focus on enabling meaningful technology experiences for our customers, Belkin is poised for growth,” added Pipkin. “The addition of two highly regarded executives like Dermot and Gary to our board reinforces that we are on the right path as a company.”
