website certain changes to the December 31, 2011, Financial Supplement.
This Financial Supplement contains revised historical financial results
for the quarterly and annual periods of 2011 and 2010 giving effect to
the retrospective adoption, effective January 1, 2012, of Accounting
Standards Update No. 2010-26 (previously referred to as EITF Issue No.
09-G). The revised Financial Supplement also reflects an incremental
change in the presentation of the information within the Chartis
Commercial and Consumer operating segments. The information is available
in the Investor Information section of AIG’s website at http://www.aig.com.
The Company is making this information available to provide investors an
opportunity to become familiar with the impact of the adoption of the
new accounting standard and the change in segment presentation prior to
the Company’s earnings release for the first quarter ending March 31,
2012.
