Also at drupa 2012, the graphic arts industry's most significant tradeshow, HP announced strong market acceptance of its new portfolio. These deals include five beta customers for the HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, the first sheet-fed HP press on the market supporting a larger B2-size (29-inch/75-cm) format. The new series of B2-format HP Indigo presses introduced in March are capable of producing almost any commercial print job and a much broader range of packaging applications.
HP also has signed agreements with more than 70 print service providers (PSPs) for the new HP Indigo 5600 and 7600 Digital Presses, which offer improved productivity and color image quality for commercial applications, such as marketing collateral, direct mail and publishing. Available now, the HP Indigo 7600 also provides high-value effects that help PSPs create unique decoration for invitations, greeting cards, luxury product brochures and other print materials.
In addition, HP announced it has already received orders for its first complete high-speed mono and color imprinting solutions and its new series of higher-speed inkjet web presses featuring new inks, printheads and glossy coated paper that support faster print speeds without compromising image quality. The company now has installed more than 70 HP Inkjet Web Presses worldwide, which have produced a cumulative total of more than 11 billion pages.
"We're driving an unstoppable transformation from analog to digital printing, where our broad portfolio of digital solutions is reshaping the products and services PSPs can offer their customers," said Christopher Morgan, senior vice president, Graphics Solutions Business, HP.
HP's drupa stand in Hall 4 at Messe Düsseldorf reflects HP's industry leadership in high-quality, versatile and productive color-printing solutions.
