STEC's PCIe Solid-State Accelerators Power High-Performance Hadoop Appliance at Interop 2012

When compared with other solutions that use competing PCIe flash devices and using a TeraSort benchmark, PHAT-Data^40G is able to sort a 1TB dataset in less than 27 minutes using only 5 machines—20 percent faster than previously possible, at about half the PCIe storage cost. PHAT-Data^40G also incorporates Zettaset's installation, management, and security tools, providing customers with a unified solution for performance-leading Hadoop acceleration.
