Public transit began in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, in 1891 with the
purchase of 10 street cars. Since that time, the City of Eureka Springs
has offered public transportation to residents and visitors daily
through the city Trolley Transit System which covers every area of town
from East to West and North to South. With approximately 1.1 million
visitors annually to the largest historic district in Arkansas, the City
of Eureka Springs Trolley System provides roughly 162,000 rides annually.
As an added convenience to customers, through a partnership with the
Information Network of Arkansas, the City of Eureka Springs now accepts
Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards for Trolley ticket purchases
at the following locations:
