Cassia County customers can
now pay for their vehicle registrations using credit
and debit cards at the DMV office in downtown Burley, Cassia
County Assessor Dwight Davis announced.
“More and more citizens expect government entities to accept the same
forms of payment as retail stores,” Davis said. “Paying by credit or
debit card at the counter is faster and more convenient option for many
people.”
The county accepts any credit or
debit card displaying a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American
Express logo. Previously, walk-in customers could only pay by cash or
check.
Cassia County partnered with Idaho.gov,
the state’s official Web portal that specializes in electronic
government applications, for help with setting up and running the
service. No tax dollars or county funds were used to develop and
maintain the service.
