LAS VEGAS, June 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- InfoComm International, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry, and the United Veterans Learning Centers (UVLC) are pleased to announce the launch of a new education program focused on training veterans for jobs in the AV industry. In a thorough six-week program designed to enhance the capabilities possessed by many veterans, the trainees will be exposed to the employment possibilities of the AV industry, and will receive preparation for the CTS certification exam.
UVLC focuses on providing tangible opportunities for veteran employment within some of the nation's fastest growing and in-demand markets today through education and certification. Recently UVLC has been focused on identifying markets and developing training solutions to give veterans the credentials they need to be successful in the professional world, both government and private sector.

This initiative showcases InfoComm International's dedication to training veterans for a career in the audiovisual industry. Earlier this week, InfoComm was one of a handful of groups identified by the American Legion, ANSI, and SOLID to provide certification and employment opportunities to veterans.

About United Veterans Learning Centers (UVLC)
UVLC is a new venture between The Veteran Enterprise Training and Services Group (VETS Group), a non-profit community based organization providing advocacy and programs to help military veterans find education and employment, and Metro Data Networks (MDN), a D.C. provider of telecommunications, building infrastructure and energy management services. The creation of UVLC was in response to the U.S. Veteran Employment Initiative which aims to lower veteran unemployment and ensure that service members leave the military career-ready through hiring tax credits, private sector commitments, and reforms that improve the way we prepare, train, and educate service members for life after the military.
