ZoomMed Signs a Collaboration Agreement with Argonaut Solutions Group and MEDAalliance

Thursday, June 21, 2012 3:14 PM

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 21, 2012) - ZoomMed inc. (TSX VENTURE:ZMD), developer of the e-Prescribing Web application "ZRx Prescriber" and the e-Pic Communication Network, is pleased to announce the signature of a collaboration Agreement with two Toronto based companies; Argonaut Solutions Group Inc. which specializes in Organization's IT infrastructure and MEDAlliance Inc. which offers consulting services to Healthcare Professionals.

The agreement provides the integration of one of Argonaut's product, a custom digital pen technology solution for healthcare professionals, with the ZRx Prescriber platform, in order to market a customized long-term care e-Prescribing solution (LTCRx) to Canadian long-term care facilities.

As a result, the new e-Prescribing LTCRx Solution will generate and print scripts. The physicians will then sign each script with a digital pen that will register its signature. The script image with a specific and unique signature will then be electronically transmitted through ZoomMed's e-Pic communication network to the pharmacist.

Market

As reported by Statistics Canada (2007), there are 1,952 long-term care facilities, which provide medical services to more than 197,412 patients throughout Canada. Therefore, a customised e-Prescribing solution represents a big market opportunity for ZoomMed and its collaborators.
