In partnership with The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI),
Time Warner Cable will sponsor four interns in the 2012 Summer
Congressional Internship Program. Time Warner Cable’s participation in
the program furthers its efforts to engage young people in STEM
(science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields.
"We believe it is especially important to encourage the leaders of
tomorrow,” said Fernando Laguarda, Time Warner Cable’s Vice President of
External Affairs and Policy Counselor. “We are excited about the
opportunities we can make available through this partnership with the
Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute to encourage Latino leaders from
around the country to pursue their interests in STEM and public policy.”
The 2012 Time Warner Cable STEM interns are:
-
Ismael Gomez of Ellerbe, North Carolina., who is studying Mathematics
at Appalachian State University and is interning at the U.S.
Department of Labor.

Carnegie Mellon University and is interning in the office of Rep.
